Finalists Announced for 2016 ITA Awards

ita awards On Nov. 11-12, 2016, the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA) is organizing the second edition of its ITA Tunnelling Awards, an international competition seeking to recognize and reward the most ground-breaking achievements and innovations in underground infrastructures worldwide. Following quite a rich first harvest in 2015, once more, the score is very positive this year: the ITA received 98 entries from 25 countries competing for the “Oscars of Tunnels” in nine categories.

The 17-judge panel, chaired by the ITA President Tarcisio Celestino, has concluded its review of entries and based on detailed evaluation, 33 entries have been selected as finalists and will participate in the second evaluation stage to determine winners.
