Heikki Ojala Joins Normet Oy

Normet Oy announced that Heikki Ojala will join Normet Oy by Nov. 1, in Iisalmi, Finland, as HSQE Director. Heikki, 53, Master of Economic Sciences in Management from University of Jyväskylä, Finland, has wide experience in manufacturing, quality management, product development and emergency services.

During his career, Heikki worked 15 years in Ponsse Oyj as a quality manager, product development manager, head of the factory and as director for development of global business processes. He has also been the Managing Director of Oy Logset Ab, a manufacturer of forest machines, and as an industrial expert for Mergertum Oy. Before joining Normet he had been working as the Head Instructor in the Emergency Service College in Kuopio, Finland. He will report to Tom Melbye, President of Normet Group.

Normet is a globally operating and fast growing Finnish technology company. It provides advanced solutions for selected customer processes in underground mining and tunnel construction environments. The Group develops, manufactures and markets machines as well as construction chemicals for underground processes such as tunnel support by mobile robotized concrete spraying, automated explosive charging and underground logistics.
