RETC Heading Back to New Orleans

RETC_Logo_2015 The Rapid Excavation and Tunneling Conference (RETC) – North America’s largest tunneling event in 2015 – is heading to New Orleans June 7-10. The venue is the Sheraton New Orleans in the heart of downtown with easy access to Bourbon Street and other famous attractions.

RETC offers a host of activities including a technical program featuring the latest in trends and technology from around the world, and an exhibition hall that features the leading equipment and services companies in the North American tunneling market. In addition, technical tours and networking opportunities are available. Show organizers are expecting approximately 1,400 attendees.

Tenbusch Tenbusch Inc. designs and manufactures custom tunneling and pipe jacking systems for underground construction applications. Products include TBMs, tunneling and pipe jacking shields, excavators, conveyors, spoil carts and track, jacking frames, hydraulic power units, bentonite/polymer lubrication systems, and thrust walls. Tenbusch Inc. also manufactures custom sliplining systems and pipe carriers. Tenbusch Inc. can supply custom individual equipment or complete integrated equipment systems.

The Robbins Company

The-Robbins-Company The Robbins Company integrates over 60 years of experience and expertise into its Crossover Series of TBMs, a line of field-tested, rugged Dual-Mode type machines. Crossover TBMs feature aspects of two TBM types, and are ideal for mixed ground conditions that might otherwise require multiple tunneling machines. Robbins supplies three types of Crossover machines: the XRE (Crossover between Rock/EPB), the XSE (Crossover between Slurry/EPB), and XRS (Crossover between Rock/Slurry). Tubificio Tubificio Lombardo Srl is a worldwide leading enterprise in the manufacturing of welded steel tubes and mechanical jointed pipelines and fittings. Founded in 1994, the company is located in northern Italy. Tubificio Lombardo produces Quicklock grooved products (available in nominal sizes from 1 to 24 in.), irrigation type pipes and flanged pipes. The company’s pipes and fittings are widely employed as tunnel construction service pipes like water, air and slurry. Tubificio Lombardo can supply pipes and fittings with several types of coating/lining: black (suitable where pipelines are temporary), painted in a specific RAL, hot dip galvanizing (for pipe that needs long-lasting corrosion protection) and thermoplastic.
