Infographic: Innovations in Tunnel Construction Methods

To show more about tunneling and the important role that civil engineers play in tunneling, the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Masters in Civil Engineering online degree program created an infographic highlighting “Innovations in Tunnel Construction Methods” in the United States.
The graphic highlights the Delaware Aqueduct (the world’s longest tunnel), the Big Dig (one of the most technically complex construction projects ever undertaken) and the Lincoln Tunnel (one of the most heavily trafficked tunnels in the United States), among others.
A historical timeline and health and safety section are also highlighted.
