Jenny Engineering Brings New VP, Operations On Board

Jenny Engineering Corporation (JEC) Jenny Engineering Corporation (JEC) announced the newest member to join the executive team, effective July 1, 2015. Mark Claassen, PG, PMP, a seasoned engineering geologist and technical program manager has been named Vice President, Operations at JEC. A specialist in tunnel design, construction management, engineering geology, trenchless technology and project management, Claassen has participated in more than 40 tunnel design and construction projects and has over 21 years of experience in the field.

Claassen comes to JEC from his previous position at parent company COWI A/S where he was the Designer’s Representative On-Site for the Doha Metro Redline North. His responsibilities on this €1,803 million project included managing on-site design related activities during construction to include design modifications, technical queries, additional geotechnical services, instrumentation and dewatering for seven metro stations and 11.6 km of subway tunnels. Prior to joining COWI, Claassen was the Senior Vice President, Director of Tunnels and Geotechnical Services at Lachel & Associates.

Claassen is joining JEC at an exciting time. With many large pursuits and business development opportunities ahead, his extensive international experience and trusted contractor relationships will be a huge asset in helping to expand JEC’s geographic reach and market penetration moving forward.
