Brierley Associates welcomed Charles Luxford to its Austin, Texas, office. He adds distinctive structural engineering capabilities to Brierley’s services. Luxford was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned a civil engineering degree from Case Western Reserve University, Luxford spent the 15 years with Kiewit Engineering Co. (KECo) in a design and management role for projects throughout North America. At KECo he was typically involved with several major projects simultaneously, while providing minor support to numerous other projects.

Luxford’s experience includes design, detailing and field support of construction engineering works such as: falsework, formwork, excavation support/earth retention, cofferdams, trestles, marine operations, erection and demolition analysis, heavy and multiple crane lifts, custom rigging, access platforms, rebar cage handling, tower crane foundations, constructability reviews and design-build project delivery. He holds professional engineering registrations in AZ, CA, CO, FL, NE, NM, NY, and TX.  He is also a registered structural engineer in HI, IL, MA, NE, and OK, and holds P.Eng licensure in British Columbia and Ontario.
