The Moles Announce 2025-26 President, New Members
Michael A. D’Annunzio has been elected as President of The Moles for 2025-26. D’Annunzio dedicated his entire professional career to the heavy construction industry, bringing leadership, vision, and a hands-on approach to every facet of his work. One of four sons of a contractor and a second-generation member of The Moles, D’Annunzio and his brothers grew up fully immersed in the industry. His father, Joseph D. D’Annunzio, was also a proud Mole and a member for over 40 years. Following in his father’s footsteps, D’Annunzio and his brothers began working in construction in their early teens as shop mechanic’s helpers and later as laborers, developing a deep, first-hand understanding of the business from the ground up.
As a co-founder of D’Annunzio & Sons, Inc., he was elevated to President & CEO at the remarkably young age of 27—a role he has successfully held for nearly four decades. Under his leadership, D’Annunzio & Sons has grown into a well-respected civil and heavy construction firm in the New Jersey and New York metropolitan area.
With a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cum Laude, from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, D’Annunzio has always combined technical expertise with strategic business acumen. He holds a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in New Jersey and has further honed his executive leadership through programs at Harvard University and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
