Soldata, a world leader in risk management and construction monitoring technologies, is expanding its presence on the West Coast with a new office in Los Angeles. The company is currently monitoring a portion of the LA Metro Red Line tunnel during construction of the new Wilshire Grand Hotel. The excavation for the hotel, which will be the tallest building in Los Angeles and on the West Coast, is in some places less than 5 ft from the tunnel.
Soldata, headquartered in Seattle, has already created a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest with a massive monitoring project for Seattle’s SR 99 Tunnel project and the Northgate Link Extension.
“We’re looking forward to having a local presence to better serve our clients in California,” said Boris Caro Vargas, General Manager, Soldata. “With so much new development underway in California, we are certain that we can lend our expertise in both risk management and construction monitoring.”
Soldata’s Los Angeles office will be led by Daniel Brescia, a 10-year industry veteran who has been involved in some of the largest and most notable urban mass transit projects in the world.
