University of Illinois Recognizes Brierley

On March 12, 2014, Tracy Lundin, President of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Alumni Association, presented Gary Brierley the Distinguished Alumnus Award from his alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Brierley, President of Dr. Moles Inc., was recognized for his outstanding career working on the design and construction of underground projects, for extensive contributions in the engineering profession as a member of many technical and professional societies, and for teaching and mentoring young engineers on the topics of tunnel design and construction, subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, and professional practice.
The evening of the award ceremony Dr. Brierley was accompanied by his friends and colleagues from the underground construction industry.
