Annual George A. Fox Conference to Feature Experts Representing Top US and International Tunneling Projects

On January 6, 2026, many of the world’s leading tunneling and underground infrastructure experts will convene in New York, NY, to exchange insights and present updates on a series of transformative tunnel projects. These ambitious efforts—featured throughout a best-in-class technical program—are shaping the future of mass transit, water resiliency, and sustainable urban connectivity.
Recognized as the most engaging one-day event in the field, the George A. Fox Conference offers both professionals and students unparalleled access to innovators whose work is improving daily life across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Among the landmark projects showcased this year is the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, a combined road and rail link that will unite Denmark and Germany beneath the Baltic Sea—and, upon completion, stand as the world’s longest immersed tunnel.
“The 2026 conference offers a uniquely synergetic and collaborative forum for professionals dedicated to advancing tunnel engineering and deeply impactful infrastructure and transportation solutions,” said Sanja Zlatanic, George A. Fox 2026 Conference Chair and Senior Vice President of HNTB. “I invite you to join us in New York City as we continue to strengthen our distinct group of experts committed to solving the complex challenges that keep our communities connected, resilient, and moving toward a better future primarily through underground solutions.”
