Brierley Associates Opens Minnesota Office

In May, Brierley Associates celebrated the opening of a new office in Burnsville, Minn. The office will be headed by Todd Christopherson, P.E., a Senior Consultant with the firm. Christopherson is a registered professional engineer in Minnesota with over 30 years of experience in structural and geotechnical engineering, commercial construction, design-build construction, and construction management. Previously, Christopherson was President of Amcon CM LLC, a construction management firm based in Inver Grove Heights, Minn.

Christopherson is a member and past Chapter President of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers and previously earned their distinction as “Engineer of the Year.” He is a past State President of the Minnesota Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America and was recognized with their “CM of the Year Award.” City Business magazine designated him in 2000 as a member of their “Forty Under Forty” honor – recognizing the next generation of community and business leaders. He received Bachelor (Highest Honors) and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Plans for additional growth include expanding the Minnesota office to five professionals within the next 36 months. Along with its new Minnesota location, Brierley has established a Great Lakes Region, based in Burnsville, which includes three existing Brierley Associates office locations in Wisconsin and Illinois. Brierley will service clients and projects throughout the upper Midwest from this regional office.
