Brokk Hires Training & Application Specialist for North America
Brokk, the world’s leading manufacturer of remote-controlled demolition machines, hired Silas Morgan as the company’s training and application specialist for North America. Morgan is an experienced operator who has worked with Brokk demolition robots since 2008. Based in South Carolina, Morgan will serve Brokk’s North American customers with on-site support, training and additional aftersales assistance.
“Silas carries great knowledge of how Brokk robots work on just about every jobsite,” said Jeff Keeling, Brokk’s vice president of sales and marketing. “He’s going to be a great fit for our team, and our customers will benefit immensely from his knowledge and passion for teaching people about the machines.”
Working with Brokk demolition robots for nearly 20 years, Morgan brings valuable hands-on experience to his new role with the company. With Brokk, he will commission new machines, teach customers how to operate them and offer tips on how to best maintain equipment to maximize uptime. His field experience and mechanical knowledge of the machines will be key in helping customers solve problems on even the most challenging jobsites.
Morgan has worked with Brokk robots in a wide variety of jobsites and applications, including tunnels, refractory removal, furnace cleanouts, demolition, steel mills and more. Across these projects, he applied that knowledge to keep projects safe and on schedule. Using this insight, Morgan will travel to customer jobsites to offer guidance about which Brokk machine will work best with their application.
Morgan brings prior experience as both an operator and project manager. The knowledge gained in his previous roles will help him provide Brokk customers the necessary support to grow their business in the remote control demolition field.
Brokk, from the machines to his new teammates, was an easy sell to Morgan. As Brokk’s newest training and application specialist, he looks forward to traveling from jobsite to jobsite helping customers and experiencing new places.
“I’ve been obsessed with Brokk machines since I was 17, and that hasn’t gone away,” Morgan said. “I’ve broken a lot of machines and fixed a lot of machines. Everyone I’ve ever dealt with at Brokk has cared about the job they do. I’m excited for this new journey and can’t wait to help our customers do great work.”
