CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas is shaping up as a must-attend event for contractors focused on heavy civil work, from highways and bridges to mass earthmoving and underground utility installation.

Running March 3-7, the triennial show will once again bring together thousands of exhibitors across nearly 3 million square feet, making it the largest construction equipment showcase in North America. For heavy civil contractors, that means a dense lineup of next-generation excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, articulated haulers and compaction equipment, alongside a rapidly expanding portfolio of battery-electric models designed to match the performance of their diesel counterparts.

Major OEMs are using the 2026 edition to highlight technology that directly impacts production on roadbuilding, bridge, and large-site projects, including advanced machine guidance, 2D and 3D grade control, autonomous and semi-autonomous solutions, and connected fleet platforms that tie equipment health, utilization and telematics data into a single view. Education sessions will dig into topics such as the construction equipment economy, smarter fleet management, and the role of AI and automation in quarry and road construction, helping project teams link what they see on the show floor to real-world bid and buy decisions.

Electric and low-emissions heavy iron will be another headline theme, with manufacturers showcasing the latest quiet, zero-exhaust excavators, loaders and haulers aimed at urban jobsites and strict-emissions corridors, as well as guidance on where electric machines already make economic sense in heavy civil fleets. Between the live demos, technology hubs and full-scale production machines on display, CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 will offer heavy civil contractors a concentrated look at how equipment, data and powertrain innovation are converging to reshape tomorrow’s jobsites.
