Laughton Joins Amberg Engineering

Amberg Engineering announced the addition of Dr. Chris Laughton as Practice Leader ‐Tunneling, North America to its team in the United States. Laughton has more than 35 years of experience working as project manager, consultant, engineer and contractor on major underground projects constructed worldwide.

Laughton as worked as a line manager for owners, designers and contractors and brings a broad range of underground design and contracting experience to the Amberg Team.Laughton holds a master’s degree in rock mechanics and excavation engineering and a doctorate in geotechnical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds professional engineering registrations and attained chartership status in the United States and Europe. He has authored more than 50 technical papers focused on adding value and reducing risk in the construction of underground structures.
