MAPEI is bringing customers, partners and guests together in Montreal, Canada, for an unforgettable week of cycling, hospitality and community engagement surrounding the 2026 UCI Road World Championships, taking place Sept. 20-27, 2026. As a Main Partner of the championships, MAPEI is using the event to connect its North American community with one of the world’s premier cycling competitions while celebrating its longstanding commitment to the sport.

Returning to Montreal for the first time since the city hosted the first UCI Road World Championships outside Europe in 1974, the 2026 championships will feature 13 events and approximately 1,000 athletes competing across Elite, Under 23 and Junior categories. The competition includes individual time trials, road races and the mixed-relay-team time trial.

A week of world-class cycling

For MAPEI’s guests, the championships offer an opportunity to experience the excitement of the competition from an up-close perspective while enjoying the sights, sounds and culture of Montreal.

Guests will have access to a range of exclusive experiences throughout the week, including behind-the-scenes opportunities, access near the racecourse and cyclists, and hospitality accommodations that will be positioned near the finish line. With guests staying close to portions of the racecourse, they will also be immersed in the energy of downtown Montreal as the city welcomes cycling fans from around the world.

“Bringing our customers and partners together in Montreal is about much more than watching a race,” said Luigi Di Geso, President and CEO of MAPEI North America. “It is an opportunity to share an extraordinary experience, strengthen the relationships that are so important to our business and celebrate the passion for cycling that connects our MAPEI communities across North America. We look forward to experiencing this historic week together and making memories that extend well beyond the finish line.”

Experiencing Montreal

The championships program will fill the city with cycling activity throughout the week, culminating in the Women Elite Road Race on Sept. 26 and the Men Elite Road Race on Sept. 27. The championships are expected to bring approximately 1,000 athletes representing more than 75 countries to Montreal, reinforcing the city’s position as an international cycling destination.

“Hosting the Road World in Montreal is a tremendous moment for cycling in Canada, and we are excited to welcome our MAPEI colleagues, customers and partners to experience it with us,” said Marco Roma, General Manager of MAPEI Canada. “This event gives us the chance to showcase our city, celebrate the sport we love and bring people together around an experience that is truly special. For MAPEI Canada, having the world’s cycling community here in our own backyard makes this an especially meaningful occasion.”

Celebrating the championships at home

MAPEI is extending the excitement beyond the racecourse through a series of activities that are designed to engage employees, customers and the broader community.

Among the initiatives is the company’s Build-to-Give program in partnership with Cycling Canada, which will include a Build Day on Sept. 18 and a Give Day on Sept. 23. Now in its third edition, the initiative will see 99 bicycles built and donated to 99 families in need, reflecting the 99th edition of the UCI Road World Championships.

MAPEI employees and customers can also participate in a group ride on Sept. 19, bringing the company’s cycling community together before the championships officially begin.

Throughout race week, MAPEI will also welcome customers and partners to its hospitality suite near the finish line, providing an opportunity to experience the excitement of the competition together while strengthening relationships with the people who help drive MAPEI’s success.

For more than 30 years, MAPEI has supported professional cycling at multiple levels, from grassroots initiatives to the world’s highest levels of competition. The company’s longstanding commitment to the sport continues in 2026 as MAPEI helps bring the world’s cycling community together in Montreal.
