Schnabel Engineering Opens Sacramento Office

Schnabel Engineering recently announced that it has expanded its presence in Northern California with a Sacramento office supporting work and pursuits across the region. The opening marks the firm’s 33rd office.

This expansion strengthens the company’s long-term commitment to California and enables closer collaboration with local clients, partners, and talent as Schnabel supports critical infrastructure initiatives in one of the country’s most dynamic markets.

Located at 801 K St., Suite 1810, the Sacramento office will offer geotechnical, tunnel, and dam engineering services, in addition to structural and mechanical engineering. The team is eager to support local clients across various markets, including dam and hydropower, transportation, and water resources.

Juan Sorensen, PE, GE, an engineer for more than three decades, will lead the Sacramento office and team of engineers and geologists. His expertise in water resources infrastructure, program and project management, risk analysis, and geotechnical engineering make him an ideal candidate to lead Schnabel’s West Coast branch and advance the company’s strategic vision across the region.
