Gateway Shortlists Contractors for New Jersey Surface Alignment

The Gateway Development Commission on Feb. 26 identified a shortlist of qualified teams who will receive an invitation to submit a proposal in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a design-build contractor that will perform design, construction and other related work for the New Jersey Surface Alignment, which is a key element of the $16 billion Gateway Program.

Shortlisted teams include:

Halmar International, LLC:
o Halmar International LLC
o Jacobs Civil Consultants, Inc.

Skanska Creamer- Sanzari NJSA JV:
o Skanska USA Civil Northeast, Inc.
o Creamer-Sanzari JV
o HNTB Corporation

Walsh Ferreira JV:
o Walsh Construction Company, LLC
o Ferreira Construction Co, Inc.
o Mott MacDonald NY, Inc.

The shortlisted teams are among those that submitted a Statement of Qualifications in January in response to a Request for Proposals issued by GDC in November.

The New Jersey Surface Alignment involves building approximately 7,540 ft of above ground viaduct and berm trackway adjacent to the Northeast Corridor (NEC), that will enable the construction of new tracks connecting the existing NEC tracks in New Jersey to the entrance to the new Hudson Tunnel.
