Skov Joins Skanska as Business Development Director
Skanska announced that it has hired Mike Skov as Business Development Director for its civil business unit’s Rocky Mountain District. In more than a dozen years of work in the industry, Skov has built in-depth knowledge of the mining and energy sectors in the Rocky Mountain region and the Southwest United States. His experience includes hundreds of projects throughout the region. Additionally, Skov’s portfolio includes significant work from Canada and Latin America, helping him identify specific best practices that can apply to individual clients in all geographies.
“Mike understands our clients’ businesses, which should help us continue to demonstrate how our approach to construction supports our customers’ operations,” said Skanska USA Civil Senior Vice President Curtis Broughton. “He also understands the nuances of our region’s geography and the construction methods best suited for them. We are excited for him to join our team.”
Skov received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and obtained a master’s degree from the University of Chicago.
Skanska has been active in the region since the 1950s and is one of the region’s leading heavy civil contractors, performing services ranging from highway and bridge work to complex earthwork and mining-related projects.
