The 9th annual Tunneling Short Course – titled “Breakthroughs in Tunneling” – will be held Sept. 12-14, 2016, at the University of Colorado in Boulder. The course, organized by Levent Ozdemir, Ozdemir Engineering, and Tim Coss, Microtunneling Inc., covers all aspects of conventional and mechanized design and construction in rock and soft ground.
Presented by international experts in the tunneling community, the Tunneling Short Course provides unique in-depth and specialized instruction that benefits anyone involved in the multi-billion dollar global tunneling sector.
“The Tunneling Short Course has been a valuable training tool for owners, engineers and contractors since it was launched in 2008,” said Ozdemir, a leading tunneling expert who has been involved on tunneling projects of all sizes across the globe. “In addition, the Tunneling Short Course offers networking events that allow participants to discuss their projects with other tunneling industry professionals.”
One of the highlights of the Tunneling Short Course is the annual Banquet, at which the prestigious Tunnel Achievement Award is presented. The Tunnel Achievement Award recognizes projects that exemplify innovation, safety and professionalism.
