Ifrim Joins Hatch Mott MacDonald’s Tunneling Practice
The North American engineering company Hatch Mott MacDonald has announced that Dan Ifrim has joined the company as a Senior Project Manager based in Mississauga, Ontario.
Ifrim comes to HMM after 30 years of tunneling experience in the United States, Canada and overseas. He has provided project administration, technical leadership and other skills on projects including Metro Istanbul in Turkey, the Grand San Bernardo Service Tunnel in Switzerland, the Ohio Canal Interceptor Tunnel in Akron, and the Bathurst Watermain, Spadina Subway Extension, and Kennedy Station Redevelopment in Toronto.
“Dan combines in-depth tunnel boring expertise with top-notch project management and negotiation skills,” said Nicholas DeNichilo, President and CEO of HMM. “We are delighted to welcome him to the company.”
Ifrim’s publications include “TBM Procurement Aspects” and “Tunnel Boring Machines, History and Trends in Canada.” He is a member of the North American Society for Trenchless Technology, Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, Professional Engineers Ontario, Tunnelling Association of Canada, and the Underground Construction Association of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration.
