LAN Hires Senior Project Manager
Gail Hamrick-Pigg, P.E., joins planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as a senior project manager and key client manager along the Austin – San Antonio Corridor. In this role, she will be responsible for managing and designing infrastructure projects throughout Central Texas.
Hamrick-Pigg has more than 30 years of project management and design experience in both public and private sectors. Previously, she served the City of Austin Public Works Department as the manager of its engineer services division, where she implemented major capital improvement projects. Prior to that, she served the city’s Austin Water Utility as the field operations division manager responsible for pipeline rehabilitation, odor and corrosion control and Infiltration/Inflow and Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone programs. She also worked as a senior project manager for Weston Solutions, Inc., an environmental services firm, for more than a decade.
She has been involved in managing and/or designing over 250,000 lf of large diameter pipeline projects including tunnels and trenchless rehabilitation. Some of her notable projects in Central Texas include Western Watershed Sewer Relief Line (SAWS), Shoal Creek Wastewater Improvements 29th to 34th Street Tunnel & Various Austin Clean Water Program Overflow Abatement Projects, Northeast Service Area Wastewater Master Plan, Barton Creek Wastewater Interceptor “Rightsizing” Project, East Austin Pump Station, Development of Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Program at Fort Hood and III Corps, and Cottonwood Creek and San Marcos River Lift Station and Sanitary Sewer Improvements (City of San Marcos).

Hamrick-Pigg is involved in various organizations, including serving on the board of directors of the Wimberley Water Supply Corporation. She received her bachelor’s degree in engineering science from the University of Texas at Austin. She is registered as a professional engineer in Texas.
