UTA to Host Symposium and Workshop
The South Central Chapter of NASTT, established in 2015, is hosting its first-ever workshop August 22, 2016, at the University of Texas-Arlington (UTA). The workshop is being co-located with the 7th International Symposium on Underground Freight Transportation (ISUFT), which will be held Aug. 22-24.
The workshop will cover all types of trenchless installation and rehabilitation methods, including cured-in-place pipe, pipe bursting, horizontal directional drilling, pipe jacking and more. ISUFT will cover all aspects of freight transportation, including pipeline installation, propulsion, project delivery and design, as well as environmental, social and political issues.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to co-locate our first chapter meeting with ISUFT,” said Dr. Mohammed Najafi, organizing committee chair and a professor at UTA. “It provides a way for our students and chapter members to meet with some of the international experts in the field of underground freight transportation. Freight transportation is a growing field that dovetails with trenchless installation methods.”
The events will take place at the Nedderman Hall on the UTA campus. CEUs and PDHs are available.
