World Tunnel Congress 2016 Abstracts Due June 30

Abstracts for the World Tunnel Congress 2016 – to be held April 22-28 in San Francisco – are due June 30. Organizers expect 2,500 attendees to this annual meeting of the International Tunnelling Association in conjunction with the Underground Construction Association. It is taking the place of the North American Tunneling Conference, which will resume in 2018.

The conference organizers are expecting to receive hundreds of abstracts. Due to the number of available podium and poster presentations that can be accommodated, not all abstract authors will be invited to submit a full paper for review. It is, therefore, important to convey the most important points of your proposed paper within your 150-word abstract. Organizers welcome abstracts related to the conference theme (“Uniting an Industry”) as well as other provocative, innovative topics of interest to the tunnels and underground space community.
