Roberts to Manage Tunnel Projects at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff
Barrie Roberts has rejoined WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization as a senior engineering manager within its transportation and infrastructure sector.
In his new position, based in New York, Roberts will function as a design manager on major tunneling infrastructure projects. He has over 30 years of design and construction experience in the United States and abroad, primarily in tunneling and geotechnical-based contracts for transit, rail, highway, water and wastewater projects. He comes to WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff from a power generating company, where he served as construction manager. From February 2003 to August 2013, he was senior supervising engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff, as geotechnical and tunneling design lead on the No. 7 Subway Line Extension and later as construction manager for the running tunnels on Phase 1 of the Second Avenue Subway project.

Roberts received an MSc degree in engineering geology from Imperial College of the University of London, and a BSc in mining from University College in Cardiff, U.K.
